The Grenada Co-operative Bank Ltd., often referred to as “Co-op Bank”, was established in 1932 out of a dire need for a bank that could provide service to the working class and the small business owners.  Seizing the opportunity, the Bank began operations from a single branch in St. George's.  Today, the bank has a staff of (100) persons offering the full range of commercial services at (4) branches and (5) ATMs. The Grenada Co-operative Bank Ltd aims "to be the leading Grenadian provider of high quality financial and related services to individuals and organizations in the local and international markets maximizing benefits for all stakeholders". The bank recognizes that when it comes to finances, a caring and understanding relationship is everything. As at September 2005 the asset base was US$118 million.

Republic Bank (Grenada) Limited, formerly The National Commercial Bank of Grenada Limited, was established in October 1979 with the first branch in Grenville, St. Andrew.  During the ensuing decade the bank expanded its branch network to eight branches spread across the tri-island of Grenada, Carriacou and Petite Martinique. In April 2006, the bank adopted the brand name of its Trinidad-based parent company, Republic Bank Limited.  The bank provides personalized, efficient and competitively priced financial services and implements sound policies that redound to the benefit of customers, staff and shareholders.  To this end, it has the largest electronic banking network in Grenada, which includes, Telephone Banking Service and (10) Automated Banking Machines. The bank is widely recognized as a good corporate citizen; receiving in 2001, 2003 and 2004 the award for Best Corporate Citizen among commercial banks in the OECS by the Eastern Caribbean Central Bank. Currently the bank is staffed by (233) employees and had an asset base of US$236.77 million as at September 2005.

Consequent upon a corporate restructuring of the RBTT Financial Group, the Bank became a subsidiary of RBTT Bank Caribbean Limited in 1999. The Bank operates (4) branches and (4) ATMs, staffed by (117) employees. RBTT Financial Holdings Limited provides operating management support and controls its financial and operating management policies.
